Client Testimonial
"I started going to Trailhead PT, after months of seeking help from a different PT company without much improvement. Within weeks some of negative symptoms were quickly improving. Even the appointment experience was night and day from the other place. Trailhead offers a comfortable, relaxing, and calm environment for appointments. Their unflappable and open-book demeanor made talking about awkward topics very easy. I love going to Trailhead and while my time there is coming to an end (yay improvement & healing!) I'll be back for future pregnancies and postpartum care. She's a 10/10, 5 stars, cannot recommend her highly enough. If you're not getting help here, you should be!"

THE TRAILHEAD DIFFERENCE
Personalized and Specialized Care
Be Seen SOON!
Many other local clinics have LONG waitlists; at times 4-6 months long! You can typically be seen within 1-2 weeks at Trailhead.
One-On-One Care
You will have an hour-long session solely with your pelvic floor specialist, never an assistant or an aide. You'll never be double-booked, watched from afar as you go through the same exercise routine, or simply hooked up to a machine/biofeedback. You'll have our full attention, which often helps you get better faster with less visits overall.
Fix the Why
Do you feel like your symptoms or issues keep coming back? Do you feel like you have tightness in muscles and you stretch and stretch and stretch, but it just keeps happening? Have you gone to therapy many times before, or every few months/years for similar issues?
We'll help you find the root causes of your symptoms so you will have lasting relief instead of temporary help, with the goal of having the tools, knowledge, and education not to have to continually come back to therapy! We treat the entire person, from head to toe with a holistic approach!

My passion is to help individuals to not be restricted in participating in their lives and I absolutely love forming positive relationships with those I work with. I am a licensed Physical Therapist, and graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. I have advanced training as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES).
I am a trained pelvic health therapist, and am very passionate about helping adults with a variety of pelvic health issues. I have personal experience with pelvic floor physical therapy after having my own two children, and have since helped many individuals of all ages with improving their quality of life and living life without fear, embarrassment, or frustration and confusion with ongoing pelvic health issues. This also includes back pain and tightness and hip pain or other related issues.
As a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, I am passionate about helping women who are hoping to become pregnant, who are currently pregnant, or who have already had children (no matter how many years ago!) to live without pain or dysfunction to reach their individual activity and life goals. See more in the birth prep section about preventing pelvic issues before they happen!
I grew up in Leelanau County, and have a wonderful husband and two amazing children. I love walking the beach, exploring the many trails around this gorgeous area, and enjoying all this beautiful region has to offer. I want to help you enjoy this area as much as I do.

TESTIMONIALS
Erica is fantastic! I was thoroughly impressed and extremely grateful for my time with her! She made me feel safe and supported as we worked together to heal my pelvic floor. She’s so skilled and knowledgeable, I cannot recommend her enough! 10/10! Just make your appointment already!

Erica is wonderful! It is obvious she puts a lot of effort into making her clients feel comfortable and supported. She is super knowledgeable and accommodating to your needs. I was a little unsure pelvic floor PT could help the scar tissue pain I was experiencing after giving birth, but it really did! I got so many practical tips and skills from seeing Erica, and not just for the specific issue I was having but to maintain the wellness of my pelvic floor as a whole. I would highly recommend her welcoming and professional practice.

Erica and the education she gave me on training my pelvic floor was a huge key to my success during my labor and delivery. I was able to have my baby with the most minimal trauma to my body thanks to the principles Erica teaches you. Plus, during my pregnancy she was able to use massage, cupping, and more to help with the typical aches and pains. If you are pregnant, or struggling with other pelvic dysfunction, she is a resource that is a worthy investment in your health!
G.S.
Erica is incredible! She quickly diagnosed my issues and after one session I noticed an immediate difference. Her massage, cupping and other hands on techniques during appointments were obviously effective. The movements and exercises she gave me were simple and not overwhelming to fit in to my busy life.
